Packing for the Iditarod

It's time to start packing for my trip to Alaska to help cover the Iditarod. For those who don't know, the Iditarod is a 1,150 mile sled dog race from Anchorage, AK to Nome, AK. It's amazing what these dog teams can do!
My first hurdle is to pack everything into two bags. Now that a lot of airlines are charging for every piece of checked baggage, I have to keep it to a minimum or I will be tagged with some hefty fines. I am realizing that fitting all the camera equipment I need for this trip into two bags, AND keeping all bags under 50lbs is actually really difficult.
I am really looking forward to getting back home, seeing some old friends and getting to shoot some video in one of the most photogenic states ever. More to come!
