I am back from a successful trip to Alaska. I spent nine days on the Iditarod trail, helping with live shots, news gathering and editing the open for the live finish show, and the Iditarod documentary.
It was great to get home and work on a project like that. It's been a while since I stood in the middle of nowhere and got to watch a dog team silently glide by. Before heading out on the trail I had a healthy respect for what these teams can do. Now, I am in awe. Its amazing to think that 16 dogs can run 100 miles a day almost, and still be ready for more when they are at the finish line.
Getting back into the swing of things in Des Moines will be interesting, but I am glad to be home. Check back soon, I will have new videos uploaded to the site, and hopefully get some Iditarod pictures up as well!
